Getting Started

How I got started with Live Streaming. One day after I got off of a bad day at work, I wanted to make something or do something to get my mind off of the bad day. I decided to take the expensive risk of buying a Capture Card, otherwise known as an HDPVR. The one I bought was $150 and I also bought a headset so that I could have a fairly good microphone so my voice was crisp and clear. I ended up spending $200, which is quite a bit for some who should be saving his money.

So when I bought it I had 15 days to decide if I was going to return it, and I have decided not to. So I'm pretty much in this for good. my first few streams were just test streams working out with some settings so that I could have the least delay in my stream and have the best quality with the sad computer I have. My next upgrade is going to be a PC. With much better specs, don't worry I'm going somewhere with this.

On my stream I have a donate button so that when I become popular people may donate to my stream so that I can buy better equipment and produce a better stream.

In my first two weeks of streaming I have accomplished more than most streamers accomplish in their first few months. I got over 100 followers in the first 10 days, and I was talking to some of my followers about how I got popular so quick and why I can get 100 followers in 10 days while most get about 20 followers in 2 months. I learned its that I talk to my followers more than most streamers, but that's because I wish to make my channel more of a central hub where people can come and talk to me or each other about whatever they want to.

  1. Me and my little brother live stream all of the time and are always uploading clips and gameplay to YouTube for all to see. I have an Elgato capture card which was pretty pricey but definitely worth it. Me and my bro have found that live streaming is a very fun and exciting thing to do and are constantly putting in the time to make our channels work. Its great and I'm glad to see others doing it as well.
